We are still in the process of onboarding our first subscribers in order to reach the necessary support to open our first book. On average it takes about 10 libraries to fund one book: we only need to hit the target of approximately $12,000 USD in order to be able to finance our next frontlist title. When we hit that target, the next book in the series can be published open access. We will keep this page updated on how close we are to funding the next book in the pipeline.
As this model works differently to many subscription/collective monograph funding models, there is no in-built threshold: instead frontlist titles are opened up as soon as the funds become available. Every single subscription counts towards enabling the publication of a forthcoming book as OA.
